March 19, 6-7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Normandie Ridge, 1700 Normandie Drive, York
You are invited to an evening planned for families and friends who have loved ones with a memory need or challenge. Every kind of memory loss presents unique challenges to both the person struggling with the loss and those who love and care for them. Here at Normandie Ridge, we want to offer you support, understanding, and encouragement. Our purpose is to provide a gathering place for family members who provide direct care and for those who visit loved ones or friends in a memory care facility.
The evening event will be an informal time where you can find support, care, and compassion. You will also learn practical tips for making a successful, positive visit with someone who has memory challenges.
There are many types of memory loss. Some are mild and others are severe and debilitating. Even though the journey is unique for everyone who goes through the challenges brought on by memory needs, you will find a common connection with others who are going through similar experiences as a family member or friend of someone with a memory challenge.
This is a free event. Please call 717-718-0930 to let us know you plan to attend.
